Right at the entrance of Fisherman’s Village walking street, wood-fired pizza, homemade pasta, and the tiramisu that gave us our fame.
“I fell in love with Italian food and figured, how hard can it be to do it properly?
Answer: learn the techniques, use the right ingredients” - Paul
Paul (owner) didn’t grow up in Italy. He grew up in New Zealand. But somewhere between his first proper wood-fired pizza and his hundredth bowl of handmade pasta, something clicked: this was worth obsessing over.
Tiramisu started with a simple idea, cook Italian food the way it’s meant to taste. No shortcuts, no pretence, no thirty-ingredient fusion twist. Just good recipes, made with care, prepared and served using the best locally sourced and imported ingredients.
We’re tucked right at the entrance of Fisherman’s Village walking street. Easy to walk past if you’re not paying attention. But you’ll smell the wood smoke first, and that’s usually enough.
We keep the menu honest, not everything, just what we do well. Pizza from the wood-fired oven. Pasta made in-house. And the dessert that gave us our name.
Proper crust, blistered on the outside, chewy in the middle. Classic toppings done right, not dressed up. The kind people say they haven’t tasted since Italy.
Made fresh, cooked properly. The kind of simple pasta dish that always hits harder than expected, because the dough is actually good and there’s no corner-cutting on the sauce.
The one that started all this. We named the restaurant after it for a reason. Espresso-soaked, properly made. People come back for it, sometimes just for this.
We’re small enough to get proper attention, lively enough that there’s always good energy. Ideal for families, couples, and groups of friends, you'll love the vibe at Tiramisu.
We’re right at the entrance of Fisherman’s Village walking street. The evening market lights up around you, there’s always something going on outside, and it’s just… a good place to be.
We’re not the priciest place on the island. We’re not on the beach. We’re a warm little room that cooks Italian food properly and genuinely wants you to have a good dinner.

“I didn’t have pizza this good since I was actually in Italy. The crust was perfect, proper blistered edges, just the right amount of dough underneath. Genuinely surprised.”
“Best tiramisu I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot of tiramisu. We came back the next night just for the dessert, the staff were completely lovely about it.”
“They brought out complimentary limoncello at the end, that tiny touch said everything about this place. Warm, generous, honest food. We’ll be back every time we’re in Koh Samui.”
